Hagar International is an organization that focuses on rehabilitating Cambodian women
victimized by sex trade and human trafficking by giving them the
opportunity to get educated, learn a trade, gain skills necessary to
enter into a work environment, and complete rehabilitation programs, as
well as providing them with a residence, medical care, and
psychological services. Many of these women make crafts for Hagar Design, like the bags below. The working environment for these women is fair trade, with fair working conditions and sustainable wages, and the organization is completely not-for-profit. The money made from these bags, which range from $25-$50, goes towards funding the a worthy cause of rehabilitating and education destitute and abused women.
